Why This Course Matters

Staff who are 2 years in the role of an educator and are interested to further their career to become certified and trained educators in special needs education can pursue a Diploma in Special Education (DISE). DISE is a one (1) year full time programme that will equip students with the skills necessary for the identification of specific special educational needs as well as the diagnosis and assessment of individual weaknesses, and skills to plan intervention programmes. The programme includes classroom trainings, classroom observations, tutorial discussions and teaching practicums.

  • Educational Psychology for SPED Teachers
  • Assessment, Individualised Education Plan and Instructional planning in Special Education
